From Barnstable to Wellfleet: Our Cape Cod Sign Collection

For a while now, people have been asking us for a piece of the Cape. A customer would stop at our booth, look through the New England coast signs, and ask if we had anything for Chatham, or Wellfleet, or wherever it was they'd spent their summers. We didn't, not yet. So we built one.

We debuted the collection this June at White Pine Market in Dennis Port, our first time selling on the Cape, and we've been bringing it back to the Cape all summer since. This August we're headed back twice: first to White Pine Market at Cape Cod Beer in Hyannis on August 23, then to Indie Art by the Sea in Bourne on August 30, our first time at that market.

A Sign for Every Town

The collection covers Barnstable, Bourne, Brewster, Chatham, Dennis, Dennis Port, Eastham, Falmouth, Harwich, Hyannis, Mashpee, Orleans, Provincetown, Sandwich, Truro, Wellfleet, and Yarmouth, plus a general Cape Cod sign for anyone whose favorite spot doesn't have a town name attached to it. Each one is hand-painted, not printed, so no two are ever quite identical.

Beaches and Water, Too

Some of our favorite pieces in this collection aren't towns at all. Coast Guard Beach, Corporation Beach, Craigville Beach, Mayflower Beach, Nauset Beach, and Old Silver Beach each get their own sign, along with Cape Cod Bay and Nantucket Sound. If a place holds a memory for you, there's a good chance it's already in the lineup.

Made the Same Way, Every Time

Most signs in the collection are available in our Headland size, 9 by 25 inches, each hand-painted at $85, (an additional $10 set-up for most custom orders) and zip codes and regions are available in our Cove size, 6 by 13 inches with frame, at $45, a good fit for a shelf or smaller wall space. We keep the process consistent across every piece: the same considered attention to color and lettering that goes into every Odd Cod sign, whether it's headed for a Cape Cod cottage or a home here on the North Shore.
