Plafond Knot Bag Charm

A small, intricate detail for a bag, made using the Plafond knot, also known as the Chinese Diamond Knot. Part of the centuries-old tradition of Chinese knotting, the Plafond is prized for its intricate, balanced structure, a spiral-centered design inspired by the ceiling motifs of Chinese temples and palaces. Hand-tied in natural cotton rope and finished with a whipped detail, this charm adds a quiet, considered touch of individuality to any bag, tote, or backpack.

Each charm is tied by hand using traditional knotting technique, then finished with a colored whipping where the knot meets the hanging ends.
